Race and Photographic Representation

This exhibition was produced by Andrew Dewdney and Mervin Bishop in 1989 when working with students from Tranby Aboriginal College in Glebe, Sydney, Australia. The exhibition was held in the Sydney University Gallery, The Tin Sheds and explored the themes of invasion and colonisation, deaths in custody and media representation. It was followed by a publication Race, Representation and Photography, written and compiled by Andrew Dewdney and Edited by Sandra Phillips.
